Royal ISD Team and Esteemed Board,
I want to thank the Royal ISD school board for allowing me to serve the district and the communities of Royal ISD as superintendent for the past seven years. My time at Royal has included some of the dearest years of my personal life and professional career. I have met many amazing people and was able to contribute to great achievements such as the development of the STEM Academy, ECHS, Boys & Girls Club inside the schools, ROTC, the development of the Royal ISD Education Foundation, and the achievement of an academic “B” rating for the district, just to name a few. Royal students are amazing, capable young people who will accomplish great things. Our students are blessed to be mentored and taught by very special teachers and staff who put students first. It has been a true honor to be part of the Royal family! It has been a very difficult decision to make, but I am resigning from Royal ISD and accepting a superintendent position in Region 3. I thank the Royal ISD school board for the opportunity to grow professionally and for the support that they have provided over the past seven years.
