You asked and we listened. We have been asked what we are doing out of our Maintenance & Operations budget to address some of the district's facility needs. Superintendent Kershner will be releasing regular updates on the improvements being made to Royal campuses and facilities!

Freeman Ranch by LGI Homes features move-in-ready homes that provides homeowners with an incredible 2-acre community park with a splash pad, playgrounds, picnic gazebo, and an open recreation field. As of February 18, 2022, Freeman Ranch has three completed sections and two new sections planned. Homes are selling quickly in Freeman Ranch, with 43 homes sold in the four weeks prior to February 25, 2022 and construction starting on 6-8 homes each week.
Upon completion, the development will include a total of five sections and 812 homes:
Sections 1 and 2: 210 homes
Section 3: 227 homes
Section 4: 199 lots
Section 5: 176 lots
LGI Homes Opens Large-Scale Development in Houston Market (Houston Chronicle)
LGI Representative Kristi Calagna stated, "We started selling homes in December of 2018 and since then have become home to 430 families. Freeman Ranch has two new sections coming in 2022, which will total 350+ more lots. Our team has visited RISD numerous times. We have always felt that you have your students very best interest at heart, which makes us feel confident in recommending Royal ISD. The positive relationship between Royal and Freeman Ranch has helped our residents make the transition to their new homes, and we look forward to a continued partnership."
