Royal ISD Police received a report of a Royal Junior High student who had an unauthorized item on campus. Out of an abundance of caution, RISD issued a shelter in place order from 1:25PM - 1:52PM (27 minutes) for the safety of our students and staff. “Shelter in place” is a precaution to keep students and employees safe while remaining indoors. The item was determined to be a Nerf gun, and the order was removed. As always, the safety of our students, staff, and community is our top priority.
