RISD Parents and Guardians,
As RISD superintendent and a parent of four, I understand the importance of your child’s safety. I would like to reiterate that the safety of our students and faculty is a responsibility that we take extremely seriously. I also recognize the importance of keeping everyone informed of situations as they arise. We will always work closely with state and local law enforcement agencies to insure that in every situation the correct actions are taken to keep everyone safe. The district will continue to make every effort to inform parents in a timely manner of any and all events that present a potential safety issue to our students.
