Royal Education Foundation Provides Grant to the Royal Marching Sound Machine

The Royal Education Foundation recently received the following thank you from RHS Band Director Gary Miller:

"Thank you so much for your support and financial contribution to the Royal High School Band. We will use these instruments to be ambassadors of music and Falcon Pride for RISD. Also thanks for the purchase of our UIL show. We received an excellent rating again this year with our UIL Marching 2020 show entitled " Royal Rocks!!! To the sounds of Bon Jovi". Each judge gave us a Division 2 rating. With your help we will continue to shine bright for RISD and represent with the highest level of skill we can produce. Click here for a recording of our UIL show. Thanks to you, the kids got to have a phenomenal show that they will remember for a lifetime."

In addition to providing a grant for new instruments, the band was able to use a portion of the grant money to purchase an alternate uniform and to purchase their UIL show materials. The new uniforms allowed the band to wear their official uniforms for the UIL competition, saved money on weekly dry cleaning costs, and helped them comply with COVID rules and guidelines.

Thank you again to the wonderful Royal Education Foundation for all they do to help our Falcons soar!
