Howdy! My name is Mrs. Young and I’m thrilled to join the 1st grade team at Royal Elementary. I grew up in Spring Branch in Houston, earned my bachelor's from Texas A&M University and my master's from Lamar University. My certifications include Early Childhood-8th, ESL and Special Education. My teaching experience includes starting the dual language program at Henderson Elementary in Bryan ISD and creating a learning support policy through collaborative efforts for the International School of Koje in South Korea. I’m newly married to my best friend and we are making plans to call Pattison our home. We have a chocolate lab named Shiner who loves to go for swims, walks and road trips. I love the outdoors and anything to do with cows and horses. Laughter makes my heart happy and I enjoy all kinds of music. I truly enjoy teaching children and value relationships with parents.
