Over the course of the school year, the District has been working with healthcare providers throughout the region to provide opportunities for staff and eligible students to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, should they be interested. As you may be aware, this week, both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5-11.
Randall’s Pharmacy Optional Vaccination Opportunity for Students
On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Randall’s Pharmacy will offer a series of optional vaccination opportunities to Royal ISD students, for pediatric ages 5-11, at the Katy ISD Agricultural Sciences Center (5801 Katy Hockley Cut-Off Rd). The vaccination will be available free of charge. A valid student ID, along with a completed parent consent form for individuals who are 5-11 years of age must be presented. During this program there will be multiple options available of dates and times and they are as follows:
Initial Shot #1
November 10, 2021 3pm to 7pm
November 13, 2021 10 am to 4pm
November 17, 2021 3pm to 7pm
Follow Up Shot #2
December 1, 2021 3pm to 7pm
December 4, 2021 10am to 4pm
December 8, 2021 3pm to 7pm

Qualifying adults who wish to receive a Pfizer booster may do so during the same schedule as posted above. However, students ages 12-18 are not eligible to receive the booster vaccination.
Royal ISD students are not required to take the COVID-19 vaccine in order to participate in District activities and/or programs.
