Please review the following information regarding the 2020-2021 RISD athletic seasons.
Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in our area, Royal ISD has amended our athletic schedules for this fall. All practices for Royal ISD Athletics will begin on September 8th. This will include football, volleyball and cross country. All games and meets scheduled through Friday September 18th are cancelled. The first full week of competition will be the week of September 21st.
New competition schedules:

- RHS Volleyball Schedule 20-21
- RJH Volleyball Schedule 20-21
Any students who already has a physical on file will only need to complete an updated medical history form. Any student who does not currently have a physical on file will need to have a physical conducted by a physician prior to September 8th.
Please note that the following games have been cancelled:
Cross Country cancellations:
- August 29: Seven Lakes Showcase
- September 5: Bellville Invitational
- September 12 Brazos Invitational
Football game cancellations:
High School
- August 27-28: Hempstead
- September 3-4: Academy
- September 10-11: Caldwell
- September 17-18: Northwest moved to October 1-2 (which was our bye week)
Junior High Football
- September 8: Freeport
- September 15: Stafford
- September 22: West Brazos
Volleyball game cancellations:
High School
- August 27-29: Rice Consolidated Tournament
- September 1: Somerville
- September 8: Nimitz
- September 10-12: Boling Tournament
Junior High
- September 3: Freeport
