I came from Puerto Rico where I was a teacher for 15 years of elementary education. I studied at the University of Puerto Rico, where I obtained my degree in Elementary Education Arts with certification in bilingual education and science. Four years ago, I moved to Houston with my family and since then I have taught second grade here at Royal Elementary School. I am married and the mother of a 13-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter, who study in the eighth and fifth grade respectively at Royal STEM Academy and Early College. In my free time, I like camping and hiking with my family. I also enjoy reading and exercising outside.
