My name is Denise Alcover. I have been a school counselor for many years. I love my job because I love the students and families I work with. Me and my husband and daughter live in Katy but lived in Brookshire for 7 years. I’m a big animal activist with more than my share of rescue cats and dogs. My oldest son is an author and lives in Montana. I have traveled extensively and started my life in Guyana, South America. I would say my family is multicultural because my mother is a member of the Cherokee nation, my husband is Hispanic, and my daughter is Asian. In addition to taking care of my animals, I enjoy reading and writing. I also love art and decorating.
