The Royal Falcon Wind Ensemble has once again demonstrated musical excellence, earning the prestigious UIL Sweepstakes Award for the sixth consecutive year. With consistent superior ratings from all judges in both concert performance and sight-reading, the ensemble continues to set a remarkable standard in student musicianship.
This year’s achievement marks a significant milestone for the program, solidifying its reputation as a leading force in music education. The ensemble’s consistent success is a reflection of the students’ dedication, discipline, and passion, as well as the outstanding leadership of Director Gary Miller, Jr.
The Sweepstakes Award—given only to ensembles that receive superior ratings (1s) in both concert and sight-reading evaluations—represents the highest level of achievement in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) music competitions.
As the Royal Falcon Wind Ensemble brings the trophy home once again, the school and community join in celebrating the remarkable talent and hard work of these young musicians.
