The upcoming RISD Attendance Credit Election will have a major impact on district funding and our local tax base.
A vote FOR the measure will permanently keep our current tax base within Royal ISD and keep the current tax rate the same, protecting local control of our resources and preventing a tax rate increase. 💵
A vote AGAINST will result in the PERMANENT detachment of approximately $2 BILLION in commercial property 💰 and a potential interest and sinking tax rate increase of approximately $0.25—meaning that our largest taxpayers could be reassigned to another school district and that your tax bill could increase.
It is critical that we fill the room with Falcon voices at the Falcon Forum on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:00 PM in the Royal ECC cafeteria.
