Many students struggle with a common reading problem. They can recognize the individual words in a passage, but they have trouble understanding the overall meaning. Write the days of the week across the top of a piece of paper, and list his subjects: English, Math, Reading, Social Studies, Science, etc. down the left side. Your child can write his assignments in at school, and you can review them and initial when they are complete. Have him store the sheet where you both will see it.
