The City of Pattison is hosting its second Hazardous Household Waste event on April 30, 2022. The event is funded by a grant from HGAC and TCEQ. Last year we collected over 23,000 pounds of used tires, over 10,000 pounds of hazardous/non-hazardous paints, over 100 containers of pesticides, over 55 gallons of used oil, and over 900 pounds of low-grade electronics from over 130 participants. Around 40 volunteers supported our event last year.
This year we plan to significantly increase the volume of hazardous waste and used tire collections.
