The team from Royal is enjoying networking and lunch with the West I-10 Chamber of Commerce! 2004 Falcon grad and Royal CTE teacher Nick Gonzales spoke to the group about the fantastic opportunities at Royal. Mr. Gonzales is joined at Royal by other “home-grown” teachers who also returned to RISD to prepare future generations for the future. The robust CTE program offers a variety of pathways and certification opportunities ranging from cosmetology to agriculture to health sciences to welding and machining and beyond. Students in these programs also have the opportunity to join various organizations to support their interests.
Royal’s award-winning SkillsUSA teams compete against students from districts of all sizes and frequently bring home state titles, scholarships, and more! Royal CTE instills leadership and real-world skills in our students, providing them with hands-on learning, certifications, and skills that they can use throughout their lives.
