More about Mrs. Glover:

Name: Phylicia Glover

Title: Executive Director of Teaching & Learning

How long have you been at Royal? 5 years

What's your "why"?  My goal and ultimate purpose as an educator have always been to make a positive impact in the lives of children. I chose education because I want to help students deepen their love for learning and take that forward with them as a lifelong passion and desire.

How do you contribute to the district mission statement of "investing in our tomorrow"? By investing in those around me...rather it's a student, a teacher, an instructional coach, or campus leader. Each day I strive to make daily deposits in others that will help/inspire them to learn and grow. I strive to help others achieve their goals and to become the best version of themselves.

Favorite quote: Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be. --Rita Pierson

What are 1-2 goals you would like to achieve during the 2023-2024 school year? Stay resilient -- resiliency helps you accept challenges and develop steps to move past it while staying positive.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Spending time with family (especially my grandson)!
