Royal ISD is pleased to announce Richard Kershner as the lone finalist in the district’s superintendent search. State law requires a 21-day waiting period before Mr. Kershner can officially take on the role. Mr. Kershner currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Leadership and Culture in Splendora ISD. He began his career as a teacher in Sealy ISD. Kershner has also served as Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent of Academic and Human Resource Services in Katy, Royal, and Splendora ISDs.
