The Royal ECHS Application window is now open for the Class of 2026 (current 8th grade students)!
Royal Early College High School allows students to receive an Associates’ Degree when they graduate from Royal ISD, at no cost to their families. The program allows them the opportunity to complete a Bachelor's degree just two years after high school if they choose to do so. Royal ISD Early College High School’s primary focus is providing students from underrepresented backgrounds (i.e., at-risk, low income, and/or first generation college attendees) with the opportunity to earn 60+ college credits free of charge while attending high school. As a designated Early College High School we welcome students from underrepresented backgrounds; however, we encourage students of all backgrounds to apply. The ECHS Application window is open until Monday, May 2nd, and completed applications to the program can be turned in to the School Counselor at Royal Junior High and Royal STEM Academy. Completed applications can also be emailed directly to mbaker@royal-isd.net. Students will be notified of their acceptance to the program by May 20, 2022. Students applying to the ECHS program after May 20th will be admitted only if space is available.
