Royal ISD is proud to celebrate another outstanding achievement by the Royal Marching Sound Machine (RMSM), which earned a Superior Rating at the UIL Region 27 Marching Contest, receiving straight Division I ratings from all judges on October 21, 2026.

This accomplishment marks the seventh consecutive year that the Royal Marching Sound Machine has advanced to the UIL Area Marching Contest, continuing a tradition of musical excellence, dedication, and Royal pride.

The Superior Rating, the highest possible distinction awarded at the regional competition, reflects the students' exceptional preparation, musical performance, precision, and teamwork. Receiving unanimous Division I ratings demonstrates the hard work and commitment of the entire marching band program.

The Royal Marching Sound Machine will now advance to the UIL Area D Marching Contest on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The performance time will be announced as additional details become available.

The district also recognizes the dedication of the band directors, instructional staff, parents, and band boosters whose ongoing support contributes to the program's continued success.

As the Royal Marching Sound Machine prepares for the next level of competition, the Royal ISD community looks forward to cheering on these talented students as they continue their journey.
