Falcon Nation is getting ready for a week filled with school spirit, tradition, and community as Royal ISD celebrates Homecoming 2026, September 14–19. This year’s celebration brings together students, staff, families, alumni, and community members for a week of activities leading up to the Homecoming football game and dance. Throughout the week, students are encouraged to show their Falcon pride by participating in daily dress-up themes:
Monday, September 14: Falcons Are the Future – Dress Like Your Dream Job
Tuesday, September 15: Team Up & Fight the Flock – Twin Day
Wednesday, September 16: “Toon” Out the Willowridge Eagles – Dress Like Your Favorite Cartoon Character
Thursday, September 17: Soaring Through the Decades – Decades Day
Friday, September 18: Give ’Em the Royal Blues – BLUE OUT! Wear blue!
Homecoming Tailgate
The community celebration begins Friday, September 18, with the Royal ISD Homecoming Tailgate from 4:00–6:00 p.m. in the Royal High School parking lot.
Royal ISD campuses and departments will welcome families with games, activities, face painting, temporary tattoos, football toss, cornhole, and more. Snacks and refreshments will also be available thanks to the generous support of our campuses, departments, and community partners.
A special thank you goes to the Royal ISD Athletic Booster Club for supporting the event by cooking and serving food for our community. Their partnership helps make events like this possible and creates another opportunity to bring Falcon Nation together.
Homecoming Football Game
At 7:00 p.m., the Royal Falcons will take the field at Falcon Stadium for the Homecoming Varsity Football Game against the Willowridge Eagles.
Falcon Nation is encouraged to fill the stands and wear BLUE as we cheer on our student-athletes and celebrate Homecoming traditions together.
Royal High School Homecoming Dance
Homecoming festivities continue Saturday, September 19, with the Royal High School Homecoming Dance from 7:00–11:00 p.m. in the RHS Cafeteria. The dance is open to Royal High School students only and will provide students with another opportunity to celebrate Homecoming Week with their classmates.
Homecoming is about more than one football game. It is an opportunity to celebrate the students, traditions, relationships, and community that make Royal ISD special. Royal ISD appreciates the campuses, departments, community partners, volunteers, and Athletic Booster Club whose support helps create memorable experiences for our students and families. We look forward to welcoming our students, families, staff, alumni, and community as Falcon Nation comes together for Homecoming 2026.
