TASB visit

Royal ISD was honored to welcome members of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Leadership TASB Class of 2026 for a district site visit during their inaugural session held in conjunction with txEDCON 2025.

Each year, Leadership TASB participantsβ€”trustees representing districts from across Texasβ€”travel the state to learn from peers, observe innovative practices, and explore how districts are meeting unique challenges through creative leadership and community partnerships.

During their visit to Royal ISD, class members toured Royal Prairie Elementary School, the district’s newest campus, and Royal STEM Academy, where they explored classrooms and spoke with students and teachers about project-based learning, STEM pathways, and the district’s focus on college and career readiness.

District leaders shared how Royal ISD is preparing for continued enrollment growth, supporting teachers, and building a strong, connected culture that β€œcaptures kids’ hearts.”

Royal ISD extends its gratitude to TASB and the Leadership TASB Class of 2026 for spending the day learning with our students and staff and for their dedication to supporting Texas public education.
