An Announcement from Skills USA Texas:
SkillsUSA Texas is postponing our Virtual Championships until further notice. Career and technical student competitions are not considered an essential service or an essential activity, and considering the stay-at-home order and school closures until May 4th, SkillsUSA Texas cannot offer the virtual competition with these uncertainties. Student officer applications will still be collected until May 5. Interviews and testing will not take place until after May 5, 2020. Additionally, our and our Summer Leadership Conference is cancelled for June 2020. Leadership training will occur at a rescheduled time.
SkillsUSA Texas will not gamble with our students’ or advisors’ safety, and we will not put them in a position where they may not be safe from this horrendous disease. This is not the best we can offer but it is the best we can do in this unparalleled situation.
