Royal ISD Celebrates First-Ever SkillsUSA District 9 Officer: Esteban Carranza

It is with immense pride and joy that we announce a historic achievement for Royal ISD — Esteban Carranza has been named the district’s first-ever SkillsUSA District 9 Officer.

Esteban, a dedicated student in Royal ISD’s Cosmetology/Barbering program, has made remarkable strides in leadership and service. This summer, he completed his first SkillsUSA leadership training camp, where he was officially installed as the District 9 Secretary. As if that weren’t impressive enough, Esteban also earned the prestigious Statesman Award, a recognition of his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

Thanks to his outstanding performance and leadership, Esteban has been invited to represent District 9 in Washington, D.C. this September, marking another incredible milestone in his journey.

"This hasn’t been an easy road, but Esteban—you did it!" said RHS Cosmetology Instructor DeMonica Kennard Jones. "The Cosmetology/Barbering program is beyond proud to have you as our fearless leader. You are paving the way for others to follow."

Please join us in congratulating Esteban Carranza on this well-deserved accomplishment. Your Royal ISD family is incredibly proud of your hard work, courage, and determination.

Congratulations, Esteban—we’re cheering you on every step of the way!
