Declaration of Emergency for Waller County: 3.19.2020 Update from Waller County Judge Trey Duhon

On 3.18.2020, Waller County Judge Trey Duhon issued the following statement:

Earlier this afternoon, I took the proactive step of issuing a Declaration of Emergency for Waller County in relation to the COVID-19 virus.  As of this post, Waller County still does not have a confirmed case of COVID-19, but this step was a necessary formality to activate the Waller County Emergency Plan and to have access to resources and assets from the State should the need arise.

There is no reason to be alarmed or to panic from this Declaration.  It is part of the process as we deal with this situation.

Attached to this post is the Emergency Declaration, the Press Release associated with the same, and Recommendations that have been issued by the Waller County Office of Emergency Management for individuals, vulnerable citizens, businesses, restaurants, healthcare providers, and schools.
