Dear Royal ISD Community:
Dr. Ackley has been named the lone finalist for the superintendent position at Goliad ISD. We wish him much success and thank him for his years of service to the District.
The Royal ISD Board of Trustees met last night to begin its discussions concerning the smooth transition of leadership pending the resignation of Dr. Ackley. Over the course of the next weeks, the Board will meet in regular and special board meetings to determine the process and timelines that will be used to hire interim and permanent leadership for the District. We know that these decisions are very important to staff and community. It is our intent to keep you informed as decisions are made. The process for hiring our next permanent superintendent will include staff and community input. We assure you we remain focused on the success of our students and we thank you for your support and partnership.
