Royal ISD Voters Approve Attendance Credit Election with Overwhelming Support

Royal ISD is pleased to announce that the unofficial election results from Waller County show overwhelming support for the Attendance Credit Election. According to the returns, 83.45% of voters cast ballots in favor of allowing Royal ISD to permanently retain its existing commercial tax base, with 16.55% voting against the measure.

This decision ensures that Royal ISD can continue to access and utilize all of its current commercial tax revenue—resources that are critical to funding the district’s educational programs, supporting staff, and meeting the needs of a fast-growing student population.

“We are incredibly grateful for the community’s strong support,” said Superintendent Rick Kershner. “This vote demonstrates trust in our vision and commitment to providing high-quality educational opportunities for every Falcon student. Your voice truly made a difference.”

Royal ISD thanks all community members who took time to vote and stay informed throughout the election process. Together, we are investing in our tomorrow.
