The Texas Elite Gilt Showcase was held this past weekend in Kerrville, Texas at the Hill Country Youth Event Center. Royal FFA exhibitors Valentin Ferro, Kinleigh Guidry, Porter Jacob and Presley Jacob exhibited their gilts at the show and came home with the following results. Exhibiting in the highly competitive crossbred class, Valentin Ferro placed 4th with his Heavyweight Crossbred Gilt. Valentin was able to receive a premium for his high placing gilt as well as earned himself a spot in the Breeding Gilt Sale following the show. Valentin also exhibited a Purebred Spot Gilt and Middleweight Cross. Kinleigh Guidry exhibited a middleweight crossbred Gilt, placing 7th in class. Porter Jacob exhibited a heavyweight crossbred gilt and Presley Jacob exhibited a lightweight crossbred gilt. Congratulations to the Ferro Family and the members of the Royal FFA swine showteam.
