Interested in Helping Those Affected by the Severe Winter Weather?
The Waller County Office of Emergency Management has complied the following resource for those able to help those in need:

Waller County always pulls together during disasters! We've heard many stories of friends helping friends and neighbors helping neighbors.  Waller County OEM and Waller County Sheriff's Office have received many questions on how residents can help!

So, here is what we are working on together to help others during this time of need.

Waller County OEM, Waller County Sheriff's Office and United Way Brookshire is activating the Waller County Long-Term Recovery Group.  This group has been around since the 2011 Wildfires and is dedicated to helping residents recover.   Here is a little bit about how the Waller County Long-Term Recovery Groups works.

Residents call the Waller County United Way at 281.822.4200 and request assistance by speaking with a Waller County United Way intake representative.  You may have to leave a message, they will call you back.  Intake personnel then link this individual in need to a volunteer group, faith-based organization or any other qualified individual to meet their needs.  This program has been successful in many of the past disasters.

For those asking how they can help, here are a few things the Long-Term Recovery Group is looking for- Home Depot Gift Cards, Lowe's Gift Cards, Water, Canned Goods, and extra Plumbing Parts and Tools.  Right now these are the only items needed.

These items can be dropped off at the following locations- this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Brookshire Fire Station-
511 Velasco
Brookshire, TX 77423
(Behind the Church)

Prairie View Fire Station-
502 Ellen Powell
Prairie View, TX 77446

Monaville Fire Station
13631 Cochran Road
Waller, TX 77484
(Richard Frey and Cochran Road)

Once these items are collected, they will be transferred to United Way Brookshire, their case manager will then distribute them to residents in need.
