Introducing the 2020 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Royal ISD is pleased to announce Jon'Dasha Price as the Class of 2020 Valedictorian and Araceli Amador as the Class of 2020 Salutatorian. The honors were announced on May 6, 2020 during a Virtual Town Hall meeting held for seniors and their families.

Principal Runnels praised both students on the hard work and dedication that got both of them to this point, speaking of their commitment to serving others and doing their best in everything they do.

Jon'Dasha feels that her greatest achievement in high school is that she always put the best effort into everything that she did. When asked who has inspired her the most and why, Jon'Dasha stated, "Mrs. Dawn Richardson has inspired me the most and she always motivated me the most and pushed me." Her plans after graduation include pursuing a Criminal Justice degree from Texas State University followed by law school at UT Austin.

Araceli’s hard work and successful completion of the ECHS pathway has allowed her to complete an Associates degree before she graduates from high school. Principal Baker is proud beyond measure of Araceli and spoke highly of her dedication to excellence in all of her endeavors. “I cannot wait to see where life takes Araceli.”, stated Ms. Baker. Araceli plans to pursue a biochemistry degree at Trinity University.

Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, Jon'Dasha and Araceli. We are so very proud of you and we know that you will do amazing things!
