Folks, I'm getting alot of messages and questions where people are hearing from a "friend of a friend" that everything is going on lock down by X date.... or that martial law will be declared.
Please do not feed into this hysteria. As Mayor Turner stated a few hours ago - there's only 3 people that can shut down a city - the mayor, the county judge, and the Governor, so if you don't hear it from them, it's not happening...
I agree. Even if things go to the point that a mandatory quarantine was required, it would be done with notice to the public...
When it comes to Emergency Management, there's Gov. Abbott over the state, then there's the County Judge, who is the Director of Emergency Management for each of the 254 counties in Texas. We are in the line of command. If something like that was happening, I would know.
Rumors like that serve one purpose - to make people worry or panic. Don't participate in that. Everyone needs to remain calm and cool.

Btw - still no confirmed case of COVID-19 in Waller County as of the time of this post.
